More about Waylon

Meet Waylon: Our Beloved Store Dog

Hey, meet Waylon, our 3-year-old Silver Lab and the heart and soul of Copper Canyon Soap Co.! Waylon is a true Carolina boy—born and raised in the Outer Banks of North Carolina—and he’s got that Southern charm and easygoing nature that makes him an instant favorite around here.

Waylon’s birthday is November 5th, so mark your calendars for his annual celebration! 🐾

One of Waylon’s favorite things to do (aside from getting belly rubs) is sitting at the door to greet customers as they walk in. His big, warm eyes and wagging tail are the perfect welcome to everyone who steps foot in our shop. Over the years, Waylon has become more than just the store dog—he’s part of the Copper Canyon family, and he's a big reason our store feels so welcoming and full of heart.

Waylon’s Inspiration for Our Pet Line

Waylon isn't just our resident greeter; he’s also the inspiration behind our all-natural pet care line! We know our furry friends deserve the best, which is why we’ve created products that are just as pure and gentle as the ones we make for humans. From paw balms to customizable pet colognes (pick your favorite Copper Canyon scent!), Waylon's paw prints are all over these products.

One of our customer favorites is Waylon’s Pet Soap—it’s especially loved by the Outer Banks dogs, who are always in the water. This soap keeps the "wet dog smell" away for weeks, making every pup smell fresh and clean without any harsh chemicals. We think Waylon would approve!

Waylon’s Role at Copper Canyon

Waylon’s presence in our store isn’t just about being cute (though he is very cute). He’s become a part of our culture—a reminder of why we do what we do. He’s about making connections, welcoming everyone with a wagging tail, and reminding us that simple, natural joys are what life’s really about.

Next time you’re in the shop, don’t be shy—stop and say hello to Waylon! Whether he's hanging out at the door or taking a well-deserved nap in the back, he's always happy to see you.

Y’all come visit us soon, and bring your pups if you can! 🐶
